All Wrapped Up

So the season is going with a swing and we can't get enough of all the cosy cashmere, angora, wool, sumptuous velvet and layers of super soft cottons. Last weekend saw the Ryder cup bring lots of visitors from across the pond. And while we could tell you we spotted Catherine Zeta Jones, David Beckham, Will Smith & Co milling around Cowbridge, we'd be lying. Although we did meet some lovely customers who loved the intimate and friendly service here at L'Armoire combined with some fantastic stylish European brands.

3. Chanel's Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner, £17. For a pencil eyeliner this has great staying power, and can be worn as either a sharp line or smudged for a sexy smoky effect.

4. Guerlain's KissKiss Essence de Gloss, £20. We are always trying to find the perfect lip gloss, and this ranks high in our charts with the best choice of colours and non-sticky texture that doesn't need endless reapplying.

5.Shu Uemura's Eyelash Curler, £19.50. Considered the best in the business, we love its shape that allows you to curl every single tiny lash, giving them a soft, lasting curve.
