The Gift Edit

Hi all,

We've got it all wrapped up here at L'Armoire with our selected gift guide making it easy peasy for you to get to the bottom of your Christmas shopping list in one fell swoop, so take note!

Stocking Fillers

Everyone loves a Christmas stocking no matter how old they are. We say the smaller the gift the more you can pack in! Choose from our pretty Orelia jewellery collection full of delicate necklaces, pretty bracelets and earrings. (£12-£25)

A lovely pair of Falke tights also make a soft and cosy staple gift that every girl needs in her wardrobe. We love the grey cotton knit pair that are on the right side of wooly. (£15-£23)

Can't Go Wrong

American Vintage all round luxury basics make a lovely pressie to wrap up and relax in over the holiday period. The range is always full of cottons, cashmere and wool knits and never fail to seduce any recipient with their super soft feel. (£35-£168)

When buying a piece of jewellery for someone that you never quite know wears gold or silver, why not go for Malene Birger's mixed metal cuff woven from both. They'll never want to take it off! (£48)

It's a Wrap

Scarves are something we always have a great selection of here at L'Armoire. Get it all tied up with a splash of colour here or a print there and any girl will be over the moon when you come up trumps. There is always guidance in store on how to tie your scarves so after Christmas send your loved one in for a mini masterclass! (£48-£102)

For the girl that knows her fashion and is always tricky to buy for, Day's lovely charcoal grey wool hat will prove to be the ultimate cover up from the cold and she will be impressed you also know this over sized floppy style is the hat to be seen in this season. (£109)

Spoilt Rotten

This is where (if your feeling generous) you can blow the budget! If your buying for someone special you know then it's best to stay focused. If it's a classic girl your buying for we suggest this Malene Birger neat camel jacket. It will definitely prove to be a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down. (£299)

And finally, what would Christmas be without a wonderful winter knit. Once again Malene Birger has covered this one with her over sized cosy woollen cardy/coat. We're secretly hoping this will be on our pile under the tree this year...(£265)

P.S. If all else fails, don't forget L'Armoire offers fail safe gift vouchers allowing them to choose for themselves at their leisure.

British Fashion Awards 2011

We love this time of the year when the good and the great from the world of British fashion descend stylishly upon the Savoy hotel in London for the the Fashion Council's annual awards ceremony. This year didn't disappoint and we always like to choose our own 'best dressed' here at L'Armoire so here is our top three;

1. Olivia Palermo in a feathery delight by Matthew Williamson.

2. Alex Chung for the second year in a row collecting her award for Best British Style looking cute as a button in Christopher Kane.

3. Double points to Patrick Grant for swapping the classic black dinner jacket for a checkered number. (Well he is the owner of Savile Row tailor Norton &Sons so why not).
